And We’re Back

I haven’t taken the time to post on here in a while, but I’m hoping to get back into the swing of it.

Shakespeare is going really well. Our Young Company show, The Witch, was a pretty difficult script to work with, but we got it to a point that is fun to perform. The feedback has been mostly positive; Jane saw it twice, but only because I made her. We’ve been working on Macbeth for a little over a week now. Mostly all that I have worked on has been the opening fight. I get killed by Macbeth and fall off a ramp; it’s pretty sick.

Other than that I’ve been trying to get a lot done with Loyal Daughters and Sons. I had a meeting the other day with a professor that’s going to help us out. She’s a new FTT professor here, and I’m taking a class from her next semester. The meeting was extremely helpful, she got me really excited to work on finishing the play.

Jane was here for a while, as I sort of mentioned before; she left on Monday. It was really nice to see her; we didn’t do anything major, I had shows through the weekend so I there wasn’t time to do much. We did get to see the Dark Knight though so I was happy about that. We also got an ice cream cake from DQ for her birthday, maybe that’s why I was so happy she came to visit.

Other than that I’ve just been keeping busy. I’m really excited about Macbeth, but it’s pretty hard work I think. All the professional actors are fun, though, so it should be a good experience. I guess I’m just a little intimidated by it all right now.
